The Reverend Maryjane Peck is currently the Interim Minister at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Trenton. Prior to that she was Interim Minister at St. Clare of Assisi Episcopal Church in Ann Arbor, St. Michael’s in Grosse Pointe Woods and Christ Church Detroit. She served her Curacy at Christ Church Dearborn after her ordination as a transitional deacon in June of 2013 and continued after her ordination to priesthood in December of 2013. Throughout her career Rev. Peck has conducted numerous retreats and workshops. She is a trained spiritual director and was trained as a Labyrinth facilitator through the Verditas World Wide Labyrinth Project.
She is licensed both as a Social Worker and as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She has worked with children, youth, families and seniors during her long career as a social worker by providing direct counseling services, as a training consultant for the State of Michigan and as executive director of 2 residential treatment centers. She and her deceased husband were licensed foster parents for over eight years and adopted three children who now are adults.
Rev. Peck obtained her bachelor’s degree from Nazareth College in Kalamazoo, a master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University, and a master’s in Divinity from the Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit. She is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry in Creative Writing and Public Theology at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
In addition, Rev. Peck completed the following: a four-year program “Sacred Arts and Training,” with Lynn Andrews in California in 1999, a two-year Spiritual Director Internship Program at the Dominican Center for Religious Development in Detroit in 2010, the Lombard Peace Center Trainings in Healthy Congregations, Conflict Transformation Skills for Churches, Mediation Skills Training and Clergy Clinic in Family Emotional Process. Rev. Peck received her interim training through the Interim Ministry Network.
Jacki has been our Parish Administrator since August 2023. She manages the office, the creation of the weekly bulletin and the monthly Steeple Bell, and helps update the website. She can be reached in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
